Mystus leucophasis is an Asian variety of the upside-down catfish, not to be confused with other smaller species of catfish such as Synodontis nigriventris that also swim upside down.
Mystus Leucophasis originate in the Sitang and other rivers of Burma (Myanmar). These catfish can grow to more than 1 foot (30 cm) in length and will eat smaller "community" fish if kept together.
